I've been busy, but I wanted to share some Legion of Dusk sketches I did to practice faces, heads and hands. Lost Caverns of Ixalan is rapidly becoming one of my favourite sets. Both mechanically and lorewise. The side story 'Pawns' restored my faith in MtG story. :)

Interesting observation: played a classic #Ixalan and a Rivals draft along with the new #LostCavernsOfIxalan with some friends today. Friends and I agreed that the draft experience for #LCI was decidedly worse.
Walls of text, confusing mechanics, and none of it seemed worth it. One friend remarked, “These cards do so much more but they seem so much worse.”
The complexity creep in #magicthegathering is hitting a point where it’s hurting the enjoyment of the game.

CW: Rambling about my Ixalan conlangs
For my #Ixalan fanlangs project, I have made all 3 of my conlangs to descend from a single proto-language, for simplicity of management; but ideally (i. e. if I had infinite free time), I would've liked to make Torrezonor to be in its own family, with a French-lookalike sister language. That, or a French-lookalike substrate language.
