2025, I can get a good enough internet connection on a plane in the middle of the Atlantic or on a ship in the middle of the mediterranean sea, but it seems that I still can't get a decent connection on a train in one of the most populated areas of #italy

Let's talk about #catering! We know bar and restaurant cars aren't the most efficient in terms of yield per passenger, so not really a surprise to see a private operator going for space and staff saving vending machines. I'm not really impressed by the selection, but I like the retro vibe of the coffees on display. You can pay by card, but not contactless. With the train built in 2018 looks like they narrowly missed out on that.

Various spaces. I notice the train is very clean. Luggage space doesn't seem to be a problem on a Friday evening connection.

From #Milan 🇮🇹 to #Venice on board a very nice #Alstom #ItaloTreno #NTV ETR.675 #EVO trainset. There isn’t a proper @diningcar in the consist but vending machines (of the “cash only, no cards” - type though 😳 ) cater for the needs of the traveller - ☕️☕️☕️ in this case.
