i was really afraid of this step (mess it up or go too far, and potentially have to buy a whole new item?) but i think this went ok ... never really tried "weathering" before

I know I'm a month late when Iron Lung was released but I was finally able to watch it yesterday. I found a theater near my place that are showing it.

The seat I picked was in front of the whole crowd lol and yeah I came early. I just didn't expect people would pick the seats at the back

As for the movie, I gotta say it's pretty bloody. It's also very, very slow. Every shot is so detailed. It's good and all, but I'm gonna be honest...

Just came back from watching Iron Lung. Took my small local theater a few weeks extra to get the chance to show it, and I'm so glad they did. That was amazing. It's rare that I go to the cinema and I sit there with a feeling of "please don't be over anytime soon", especially for a movie going over 2h. I'm just not that big into movies compared to some of my friends.

Anyway, love what they did with it. I did watch Mark play the game beforehand, so I knew the general idea of it, but they expanded on it too (had to be expected for them to get a 2h movie out of a 40m game). It still felt really authentic to the game experience.

When the movie was over everyone in the audience sat still throughout the entire credits. We were all hoping for a post credit scene. Sadly there wasn't any. I feel like it was such a missed opportunity to not include that one major end-of-game jumpscare from the game. Just put that one last scene directly from the game as an after credit scene. Would be cool.

So I keep hearing that Iron Lung was such an achievement for Markaplier. And, yes. He made an ok film. And got it distributed. But (correct me if I'm wrong) didnt he do that on easy mode as an indie director?

He has a huge following. A megaphone with his channel. As well as the money it makes. How many indie directors have access to half of that?

He did acheive something. But I'm more impressed by indie directors that do the same w/o that.
