I really should have named my Irish Setter Bill Withers. Because he’s always trying to lean on me
If you know these red beasts you know
But this year is the 100th anniversary of Miles Davis’ birthday and that is who I named my boy after. Plus he can run for miles and miles. And he can Chase the Voodoo Down.

Watching the Kingsman: The Secret Service for my first time ever. The candidates needed to choose a puppy. There was definitely an Irish Setter among the puppies. Nobody chose the Irish Setter. Hmmmm - they knew they would need to train it.
I love my boy no matter what though.

Monday was our Golden Retriever’s birthday. 6 years old.
Not easy to get a group photo when they all thought I was asking them to sit in one place so I could give them a treat or so they could wrestle with each other.
Also, trying out @altbot to see how it generates altText even though I usually do it myself - just want to see how this works.

Got down to 5°C last night here north of Auckland. My Irish Setter is so true to his breed - he wanted to sleep outside last night. The Setter I had growing up loved to stand on top of his dog house in the snow and even in the coldest weather didn’t want to stay inside much. My boy now still loves to sleep in a sunny spot in the house, as he is doing right now, but he is really happy sleeping outside at night. Unless it is raining. Crazy boy doesn’t even like to go out to go bathroom in the rain - but if I take him out for a run in the paddock in the rain he’s all over it.
