Watching "Session about #Ionide and FSAutocomplete", a live coding session on #fsharp, part of the Amplifying F# initiative, with @chethusk and Jimmy Byrd.
Very clear explanations. So much to learn.

@giuliohome @grtcdr @argv_minus_one @chethusk Thanks to #Ionide, both NeoVim and #emacs are also an option.
I am personally on Rider and #Emacs. For the latter, Eglot makes the setup particularly simple:

if you have time, could you please post a screenshot of F# IntelliSense in Emacs? I'm curious to see it. I would expect to get helpful and sound type suggestions from the IDE when I chain map, filter, collect, or when I use bang! in async or task CE. The way those visual clues are placed around my code also matters to me.Meanwhile, my screenshot of https://github.com/giuliohome/FunctionalConnectionPool/blob/main/Program.fs #fsharp #vscode #ionide

@laimis @k_cieslak I have finally gotten decent productivity with interactive #fsharp and #ionide/ #vscode were a big part of that. The nuget package import was critical too. It’s super productive now.

@brandewinder @kitlovesfsharp @aru - for #fsharp I am scripting a little more (since Matthias swears by it ! easier with nuget support) but usually just make a small project where inference works better in my experience. I love #vscode and #ionide but #rider also good, and slightly more robust for big projects. Learning how to clean out state when you get autocomplete tangled is important.
