Well! That didn’t go too well.
Engineer arrived, found the problem is NOT in the house and has now arranged for an Openreach engineer for tomorrow.
I am grateful that it’s tomorrow and not another week!So still no internet access and back to my in-laws to do some work!

With thanks to the wonderful people at Sky, we have to wait for one week before we can see an engineer about our telephone line!
