Nationalism is obsolete and detrimental, as are also its various manifestations like sports cups, song contests and wars – “our country or nation against others”.
Serious issues are global nowadays, environmental or geopolitical, and we are shipmates in the same boat. Therefore, I second the symbolical idea of an international Interdependence Day instead of separate Independence Days.
