When choosing to put an obviously #GenAI face or voice into your work, just know that you’re also making a political statement alongside your aesthetic choice. A significant percentage of your audience are deeply uncomfortable with the ways #AI is advancing into our lives and workplaces, and your latest #elearning asset is also a shot fired in that ongoing battle between the workers and the robots. We as #instructionaldesigners need to consciously decide which side of that battle to be on.

A reminder that we must teach our internal stakeholders what we're doing, why we're doing it, and communicating the value we add to the process, lest we become John Henry, pitted against the steam drill.

I’ve worked at #NASA since the beginning of the #internationalspacestation , training #astronauts , #cosmonauts , and #flightcontrollers on guidance, navigation, control, and propulsion. I was a flight controller for the visiting vehicles to ISS. I co-led NASA’s instructor training program. Today, I manage instructors, software developers, #InstructionalDesigners, and video producers.
