Was mich ärgert:

Beim #Vostro #Inspiron #Latitude ist das nicht passiert, die waren viel billiger, wurden durch mich oder andere Personen intensiver & länger genutzt. Beim #Precision davor auch nicht, das ist uralt, war mehrere Jahre im Dauereinsatz.

Wenn ich ein "Premiumgerät" kaufe erwarte ich was anderes. Parallel habe ich im Büro 6 Jahre Lenovo #Laptop in der Nutzung gesehen, auch ganz neue Geräte, seit zwei Jahren habe ich ebenfalls dienstlich ein #Lenovo, würde ich jetzt auch empfehlen.

Hab mir heute mal ein altes #Dell #Inspiron 1520 vorgenommen. #Debian mit #LXQt rauf, aber WLAN wollte erst nicht. Irgendwie hat 'contrib' in den Paketquellen gefehlt und damit auch die Firmware Module. Gefixt und dann ne Runde gefreut.
Das Teil ist ca. von 2005 mit Intel #Core 2 Duo T5250 (Centrino). Dafür läuft es erstaunlich fix.

Buying advice: I'm considering buying a #Dell #Inspiron 16 Plus #laptop. I intend to run a #Linux desktop on it. Has anyone run Linux on the #nvidia RTX 4050 config without issues? Or should I go for the intel graphics config? Intel config is only i5, so I would prefer i7 nvidia config, but not if there will be driver issues

Got a Dell Inspiron 500m laptop. No hard drive, and it has a dead battery, but it’s working nonetheless. I’m planning on restoring it.

I also got a LEGO CyberMaster set in almost brand new condition. The box has been opened, but all bags/parts are still factory sealed and like new!

#dell #inspiron #Inspiron3793 running #ubuntu has 17inch screen and cost 400 euros 3 years ago. I upgraded to 2 x 8 Gb RAM from the 1 x 8 Gb it came with. A total transformation of performance. but need to be careful when separating case at locations where the case is thin e.g. at CD drive or ports. Cracked the case somewhat.
