Creo q #Inscryption fué el primero (o uno de ellos) con lo de añadir trama a un deckbuilder y a partir de ahí todos a lo loco.

The more I think about #GeoffKeighley hype machine called #TheGameAwards, the more I believe it's both good an bad.
Think about it. Without the #TGA some games would have never had a chance, like #Expedition33, #ItTakesTwo, or #Inscryption if indies were a sidenote.
Hopefully next time he backs up a game, he does independent consulting first. He has the money to pay for that knowledge.

CW: Inscryption (2021) Kaycee's mod beat, lauding the use of free assets in the game
yayy 99%'d Inscryption after remembering to do it after 4 years - meaning I beat Kaycee's mod with all the challenges active. But I forgor to do the painting achievement I think.
It always stood out to me how the credits (both vanilla and KC's mod) has a lot of creative commons assets:

And I think it's cool to see art using these creative commons that are MEANT to be used as such -- they're integrated in the game very well, they don't stick out of the art style, and they're free for the designers to use :P
Next time someone says "I can't model/draw that so I have to steal assets".. noooo (walter white voice) HANK DON'T DO IT use the CC stuff that's out there!! Look how good this game is! And it was pretty well received by both boomillenials and zoomers discovering it via markiplier.
(I admittedly cheesed this cheevo by resetting fights until I figured out the correct moves LOL. I lost my mantis god to the first campfire. I had to depend on a dire wolf pup. I will beat it again later properly... or just watch other people beat it properly no resets).

Una vez terminado #Inscryption, entiendo que le guste muchísimo a tantas personas aunque no comparto el mismo entusiasmo.
Tiene un estilo de arte, incluso a través de todos los cambios a lo largo del juego, que se me hace bastante distinguido y agradable. El aspecto de que el juego rompa la cuarta pared más que impresionarme me aburrió, pero sí me gustó que sirviese de excusa para cambiar una pizca las reglas del juego cada vez que comenzaba a pesarme su monotonía.
Recomendable. 👍 -
