David Bowie produced The Idiot just before producing his own Low, though Low came out just before The Idiot. Bowie and Pop get cowriting credits, plus Carlos Alomar on the first track. R.E.M.'s cover is where I think I first heard "Funtime" which appears here as does "China Girl" years before Bowie would revisit it on Let's Dance.
