I wrote this poem a couple of years ago in solidarity with immigrants everywhere. I am Danish but have made Scotland my home. Not everyone is welcomed by all. But we are all earth inhabitants. 🌍

I AM AN IMMIGRANT. I wrote this poem towards the end of last year. It was one of those sudden sparks of inspiration where I knew I had to write a poem starting ‘I am an immigrant’. I lived in the U.K. over 21 years now and I love it. I lived outside of my native country Denmark over 25 (23 years in Denmark). I replanted because I need a different soil…. If you are an immigrant, why did you emigrate?
