#question for the #neurodivergent bubble

My question is about #hyperfixations

Over the last couple of months, I experienced several fandom-related hyperfixations: First about "Murderbot" (the TV series and the books by Martha Wells), then Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein", after that "Heated Rivalry", and lately "The Night Manager" (TV series, season 2).

How do #Hyperfixations form for you? Mine usually go hand in hand with my #SpecialInterests. If something picks up my special interests in a well-made way, I can probably already tell that it's going to be a hyperfixation.

I love hearing about other people's #Hyperfixations so pls share yours right now if you want and maybe also why

Mine atm:
- Hazbin Hotel / Helluva Boss - (christian) religion questioning, themes of religious trauma, hell as a setting and hell / demons / angels imagery, very queer and banger musical songs

- Chappell Roan - one of the greatest pop stars in the making, politically active, sapphic pop music

all go hand in hand with my #SpecialInterests

My latest hyperfixation is saving and storing information I completely arbitrarily deem useful/important, for when it's not going to be easily and freely accessible on the internet anymore

Is it ever going to happen? I don't know
Will this fixation only last for a few months, leaving me with lots of books and printed stuff I will never ever even look at again? Probably
Does this deter me from doing it anyway? Of course not

Oh no, wait! I already read this a few years ago! I skipped right by the use of ungulate unguents--I was looking more at how to do composting right, with or without worms.

This is all hitting me right in my #hyperfixations and that's bad news for my other hyperfixations.

Maybe I should move the moving boxes out of the barn and get a bunch of yard/garden/microfarm supplies in there....
