The problem demands a social change, involving both activism and politics.
As activists, We should conduct awareness campaigns on variety of topics, for different sections of society. We should protest to show our demands, but it should not converge to just bringing capital punishment for a few, our problem is bigger and difficult to approach.
Politically, we need to influence our netas and parties to implement policies that can bring long term changes to society.

We need to demand political parties and netas to show their stands and what their policies on these issues. If nobody is out there for you, you could be representative too, there might be many who are like minded and waiting for someone.

How serious are our government on spending #Nirbhaya funds? What are the policy level changes or educational level reforms to address this issue in long term? Our representatives wash their hands giving few lakhs and a job to the victims family.

We need representatives who care about this, who would understand the importance of this issue. Tjis not just a justice to a victim issue, this is the broader issue of suppression on women, society induced or self induced because of the society.

We need to change our ways, rather than protesting against few who done the crime, we should protest against the system. We need to change it or we will have to continue to live in fear of whose names will have to be faked next, what will I do if it was me, because public spaces are not strange to rape.
