There's a lot of choice w/r/t what to put in a comic panel. My default is to take a literal approach (draw what's happening as seen with eyes), but with this story, I wanted to incorporate a few more visual metaphors.

9. Ink! Follow the pencils, roughly...

10. Fill in black areas for shadows. Usually where I catch tangents.

11. Groan and tone.

12. Redraw bubbles and nudge them around. Catch more tangents.

12.5. Write fake dialogue?!

Started when it was light out and then TIMEWARP it was really dark.

Including pic of my setup, optimized for my baby body that can't tolerate bad ergo anymore:
Anker vertical mouse
Mistel MD770 split keyboard
Wacom Intuos 3

Was on a mission to colour correct this scrappy #HWAnimation, which made it 10% more OK, but I'd have to redraw the whole thing to feel better about it (if only I had all the time in the world). This was super compressed 🥴
