I worked out how many hours I typically spend on home and child care every week - and it's about 50-60. I signed up for a long-term health research study as a participant, and they asked lots of questions about how I use my time - including sleep, exercise and work. For those in unpaid work, or who spend more work time in child and home care they wanted to know the hours put in.
My answer shocked me! Note, I have no kids below school age!
