    Warm-up time for digital multimeters. I let my multimeter run for at least 20 minutes before I take a measurement. For highly accurate measurements, I wait at least 2 hours until the devices are at operating temperature.

    I check the HP multimeter with a voltage reference at regular intervals. It looks very good.
