I finally will have enough HP/Agilent/Keysight 40-pin logic analyzer pods, the 40 pin shrouded header to 17 flying lead probe cables, because I found some used ones at a decent per-unit price. The only problem is that I had to buy over 100 of them to get the decent price.
The reason to have more pods than the logic analyzer pod cables is that it's convenient to leave pods wired to prototypes.
I also got some used grabbers, but not enough for 100 pods.

Anybody got a #Agilent or #Keysight 16901A, 16902B, or 16800-series logic analyzer,working or not, that they're willing to part with relatively cheaply? I'm looking for a parts donor, specifically for the front panel, for my 16902B.
If it's a 16800-series, it would be best if it had the touchscreen option, which was standard on the 16901A and 16902B.
The other 16900-series models, even the 16902A, don't use the same front panel.

Spending part of new year’s eve testing preamps for my shortwave transceiver project, as one does of course. Here the ERA-3SM is providing its specified 22dB of gain. Give or take some cable losses and my janky setup. All verified using my DYI HP RF power sensor head. Very happy with how both of them perform!

Yesterday I finally got the OS installed on the new SSD in my Agilent 16901A logic analyzer. It is no longer supported, and the only recovery disc ISO on the internet for the variant using the Adlink M-880 motherboard is truncated, rendering it unusable. I was able to take the 16902B recovery disk and insert some of the key 16901A files.

Как подключить мультиметр к компьютеру
Периодически возникает задача снимать показания мультиметра через определённые интервалы времени и записывать их в файл. Например график напряжения при разряде или заряде аккумулятора. Вообще для этого есть мультиметры с функцией регистрации данных, но ни один, из имеющихся у меня, не обладает таким функционалом. В бюджетных мультиметрах ZT102 и ZT301, которые построены на чипе DTM0660, можно реализовать подключение к компьютеру, но для этого придётся редактировать EEPROM и вносить изменения на печатную плату. Это несложно и Kerry Wong описывал как это сделать на примере мультиметра ennoLogic eM860T. В тоже время у моего настольного мультиметра Agilent U3402A на задней панели уже есть порт RS232, но на нём указано "используется только для калибровки". Аналогичное предупреждение есть и в инструкции пользователя на русском и английских языках.

Контроллер управления аттенюаторами Agilent/Keysight 8494H и 8496H
Приветствуем! Так получилось, что нам достались два аттенюатора Agilent 8494H и 8496H. Они долго лежали без дела, поскольку отсутствовал контроллер управления. Конечно, четыре простых переключателя справились бы с этой задачей, но хотелось реализации с дисплеем показывающий текущее значение затухания и программное управление. Проект сделан в EasyEDA и Atmel Studio.
