I find empty medicine bottles to be incredibly useful. The small ones are great (once thoroughly washed) to soak an infected finger in hydrogen peroxide. Larger ones can be used to store different denominations of coins, or as a portable emergency sewing kit.

Or put a small tube of antibacterial ointment, some antiseptic alcohol pads, and bandaids in one to make a great first aid kit to carry in your car; you can make extras to give to friends at protests, too! Just make sure to peel off the labels.

I also use one to escort visiting bugs outside. Haven't lost a single bug doing that! Just scoop them into the vial, pop on the top and away we go. 😊

Cleaned my window AC today. The air intake fins are always the most challenging part, but this time I tried spraying hydrogen peroxide into it and went at it with an old toothbrush. It's *amazing* how much better it looks now!

This is probably a stupid question:

What do you do with thin bars of soap that are too thin to use without breaking? It seems to me that there should be some way to combine them somehow into a new bar. But I don't know *how*.

They don't stick together well, even if I wet two at a time and try to squeeze them together. Could they maybe be melted down somehow, maybe in a microwave or on the stovetop? Or should I just throw them out? That seems kind of wasteful!

Does anyone have any solution?

I was looking online for short water bottles that could fit into the oversized and unfortunately angled cupholders of this old treadmill, when it dawned on me that I could try making them more snug.

I've gotten a lot of mileage from a $5 yoga mat originally bought to use for lining wire shelves. My wife's craft glitter glue may not be the best choice for adhesive, but it was available.

We'll see if it holds. If not, I'll get something more heavy duty. Maybe black foam, too. #HouseholdTips
