HMS Lord Nelson was launched in September 1906
Her armament combined four 12-inch guns in two twin turrets with ten 9.2-inch guns However, HMS Dreadnought, completed in 1906 made her outdated before she entered service
In 1915, she joined the Dardanelles campaign, bombarding Ottoman fortifications
After the war, Lord Nelson returned to Britain and was scrapped in 1920 https://www.destinationsjourney.com/historical-military-photographs/hms-lord-nelson-pre-dreadnought-battleship-wwi-service/ #battleship #HMSLordNelson #navalhistory #maritimehistory #Military #Predreadnought #RoyalNavy #warship
