In his research, Amit Devra develops and implements quantum algorithms, mapping abstract visualization techniques into something experimentally reproducible. As Scientific Program Lead Quantum Computing at the MQV gGmbH, he coordinates the research of the entire quantum computing stack of Munich Quantum Valley.

🌞 Last weekend, we celebrated summer and science at the Inselfest on the Museum Island, jointly hosted by Deutsches Museum and 1E9.
🖥️ Curious visitors of all ages were impressed by the components of real quantum computers on display, learned about the fundamental properties of light and quanta through the quantum eraser experiment, and asked countless questions about quantum technologies.

This Wednesday, our event series #MQVEinblicke was hosted at the Fraunhofer IIS. At its headquarters in Erlangen, the largest of all Fraunhofer Institutes offered a behind-the-scenes look at its research on quantum computers.

Am Donnerstagabend wurde LRZ-Direktor und LMU-Professor Dieter Kranzlmüller vom bayerischen Ministerpräsidenten Markus Söder mit dem Ehrenpreis des Bayerischen Digitalpreises ausgezeichnet.

Following the highly successful quantum year 2025, the "MQV-Einblicke" event series entered its next round last week with the kick-off at TH Nürnberg – from now on with the adapted subtitle “Quantenwissenschaften vor Ort erleben” (Experience quantum science up close).
And that is exactly what interested visitors were invited to do again this time: Listening to exciting lectures and visiting various laboratories.

For Adelina Bärligea, quantum computing is the perfect intersection of her favorite subjects – maths, computer science, and physics. 🚀 Yesterday, the German Space Operations Center (GSOC) in Oberpfaffenhofen opened its doors as part of our "MQV-Einblicke" event series. During a lecture and a tour of the institute, visitors gained exciting insights into satellite operations and learned about the potential that GSOC scientists see in quantum technologies for space operations.

60 booked-out spots and an equally long waiting list: Last week, the @LRZ_DE was delighted to see such great public interest in taking a look behind the scenes of a high-performance computing center. After an introduction by LRZ's director Dieter Kranzlmueller, visitors had the chance to see the impressive supercomputers and quantum computers up close – an experience that is not usually open to the public!

Simone Foderà is researching a quantum-inspired algorithm called Quantics Tensor Cross Interpolation (QTCI) at the LMU München.
