  4. CW: Long post about Hidrate Pro and water intake habits

I was looking into the #hidrate pro water bottle and going based on just the reviews of the app, I'm going to pass on it. What I will do, is make an #iOS #Shortcut that will assist me in remembering to drink water, and if I'm keeping up with my intake, to not bother me. That way, I don't feel nagged needlessly but at the same time get the reminders I need to keep up.

The main reason is that I know my issue is one of habit, (or lack thereof) and if the bottle didn't have a bunch of little issues (based on the app reviews) that make a death by a thousand cuts situation, I would entertain the idea of getting one.

I like the idea of the app calculating based on the weather, my exercise level, etc. a reasonable water intake goal for the day. I also like how the app has a historical record that would be easy to look at with numbers and statistics. All great things. The latter part I can get from the Health app, so really the only functionality that I would see coming from this is the algorithm, and honestly, I know I can't replicate it in a 1-1 fashion, but I can make adjustments based on some weather information, and then beyond that use my own common sense. I figure if I at least can get started on this in a direction, then that's something, and it's better than nothing.

  9. If you know me, you know I put tech in some of the most random parts that you may not necessarily think of and this product is no different. I have been using the HidrateSpark Smart Water Bottle for years and I love it. Check out my blog for my thoughts on the product!
