Help/advice needed.

When on Linux (Mint) wanting to flash /e/OS/ firmware to my Samsung A52s, what should I do?

1. Use Heimdall? It has a GUI - but I'm short of a usefull Heimdall Firmware Pakcage with no experience i making such.

2. Use Odin? The official program from Samsung but without any GUI. Will I be able to handle it from a Command promt?

3. Use JOdin? A GUI for Odin. I should be able to install it on Linux - but as I read it it is no longer officially supported.

As is I tend to choose no. 2.

Any suggestions?

Ja Herbert, bin mit #yunohost auf meinem VServer (bei Strato) sehr zufrieden. Nutze dort #leantime #bookstack und #languagetool

Auf #umbrel bei mir Zuhause nutze ich #seafile #jellyfin und #heimdall (kommt noch mehr hinzu)

Derzeit steht bei #umbrel mein erstes Upgrade an (siehe Foto), das wird spannend für mich, ob dann noch alles läuft.😉

Weiterhin klappt nach meinem Umzug der Fernzugriff über #wireguard an der Fritz!Box nicht mehr, weil mein Provider #deutscheglasfaser da irgendwie herumzickt. Werde wohl auf den VServer einen WireGuard-Server installieren, um das Problem zu lösen. Möchte von außen gerne wieder auf meinen Umbrel-Server zugreifen können.

🔴 Teste ja gerade #umbrel als Home-Server und muss gestehen, das es mir gut gefällt, habe #heimdall mal installiert und meine Dienste dort abgelegt die ich gerade installiert habe (+ Lesez.).

Umbrel gibt jedem Dienst eine eigene Port-Nr. hinter der lokalen IP-Adresse. Somit sind alle Dienste nur im Heim-Netzwerk erreichbar. Habe in meiner Fritz!Box #wireguard als VPN-Tunnel eingerichtet und dann konnte ich die Dienste auch außerhalb meines Netzwerkes nutzen.

just breathed new life into my old Samsung Galaxy S9+ using iodeOS 4.19 (= LineageOS 20.0 = #Android 13).
Comes with MicroG, F-Droid, Aurora and a Firefox-based browser.

Had to first update to the last firmware for this device, e.g. Android 10, using the G965FXXUHFVG4_G965FOXMHFVB4_PHN.zip package. All worked out using the #Heimdall tool on Fedora.
Also installed #TWRP as the recovery manager, even though it does not support encrypted file systems.

Honestly you don't need much, my #jellyfin server is running on an old dual core #Intel #pentium

I am currently deploying #nextcloud, #jellyfin, #sonarr, #readarr, #sabnzbd, #radarr, #lidarr, #prowlarr, #heimdall, #jackett, #qbittorrent, #ombi, #tdarr (I am using a spare laptop as a node, this is just the server), and a few others that are dependencies such as #swag, and #mariadb, all of these are run as docker containers most of which are from #linuxserver.io
