Good morning and happy Friday!

Went to Back to School Night for the High School for my oldest two last night. It was good. Met all the teachers. My wife had little gifts for all of them that me, my wife, and MDMRNia (15) helped hand out to them, which they appreciated. My wife does this every year.

Anyway, since it was just us and one kid, we asked her if she was hungry after. She said yes and was down for McDonalds. Well, the Happy Meal toys are Sanrio / Hello Kitty friends dressed as Godzilla critters. So...she got two of them for her meal (I had enough points to get 'em free, so that was nice).

She got two of the same one, so gave me the other.

So, here's Pompompurin dressed as Gigan. New addition to my office.

Went into a #McDonalds for the first time since going vegan two years ago, as the call of the #Changeables was too strong! Luckily you can buy the Happy Meal toy separately, so I didn't need to order food!. Pretty happy that I got he fries! There's a lot of Changeables, so I'll be stopping in frequently!

Things I never thought I'd say: "Wow! This Happy Meal thing has audio description!!" Um, *WOW*! Yes, we're in our 40s, but we still get the toys in the Happy Meal when we get it for our doggo. @TheZooLady is like, "I can't make sense out of this thing! It's just two cubes." So I find the little QR code thingy and scan it. It takes me to the web page, with a "Let's play button, and my first thought is, "Well, I might be able to make some sense of this if I use magnification and squint real hard." Surprise: There's actually *gasp* accessibility settings! And one of them is audio description! Totally wild! And the buttons are even labelled! I am rather impressed by what I've seen.

I ate a hamburger #HappyMeal from McD's today for dinner. I love the tiny fries. I remember being a kid and playing the games on the sides of the box it came in. Now, there is a QR code for kids to scan. That doesn't seem as fun to me, but I imagine kids dig it. No breaks from #screentime for the youngins (she typed into the toot box on Mastodon). #smallKidTime
