Finished the Malabrigo KAL Orienta shawl last week. Didn’t need another shawl. But when I saw the pattern, I couldn’t resist, knowing I had just the right yarn in my stash. It’s sock yarn but knitted on 4 mm needles, so it has lovely drape without being too loose. Very pleased with the result. #Knitting #HandKnit

It's done! Last night I finished knitting the Midwest Moonlight scarf for my MIL. I washed it and blocked it, and it should (hopefully) be fully dry in a day or so.
This is my second time making this pattern by Ivy Bigelow, and I love how the blocks are angled in different directions. 🧶

@Herbivore Oh my gosh, I’m stunned to learn how this industry operates. Now I think back to the one handknitted Norwegian sweater my grand folks brought me age 12 from their travels there. I loved that sweater so much, with angora yarn knit into the yoke design. Never had something angora again but now what I know about this, I definitely will avoid it.

Today the most basic type of "#lace " sts - yarn overs. All they do here is create the v-neck shaping.
Pattern is "Wednesday Morning" from Drops, yarn is #handspun #Corridale from World of Wool. Yarn was aran weight instead of worsted, so I made one size smaller.
My daughter gets a lot of compliments for the sweater, especially when she says it's #handknit

No pattern, this was improvised to let the yarn shine, the lace panel is just there to keep the boredom during #knitting in check - it's fingering weight yarn, a cone of #sockyarn, 3.5 mm needles.

I like #sockknitting quite a lot - and from time to time I need to break out of the standard top-down-socks. By doing the cuff sideways, for example.
These are based on "Godmother's Socks" by Deborah Swift, but I did them top down, by starting with the cuff, then picking up sts around and working a more or less standard sock from there. I also added another pattern row into the lace section.

This was one of my more crazy projects - colourmart calls the yarn a "light fingering" weight, but with close to 600 m / 100 g, I'd call it a heavy lace weight. Needle size 4.0 mm, only about 200 g of yarn, extremely lacy, beautiful drape.
Nobody believes, that it's #handknit.
Pattern is from an old ONline knitting magazine Stricktrends 31, Spring / Summer 2013
