#Esther skillfully welcomed #Xerxes and #Haman to successive #feasts. In between the feasts, Xerxes was reminded of Mordecai's exposure of an assassination plot against the king. Xerxes then charged Haman to honor Mordecai.
At the second feast, Haman's plot was exposed to Xerxes. When Xerxes saw his favorite queen had been endangered, he grew angry. Haman was executed on the gallows he built for Mordecai.

Esther's uncle was a descendant of Kish named #Mordecai. Mordecai annoyed a royal official called #Haman the Agagite.
Haman decided he would instigate genocide against the Jewish people in the #Persian Empire. He determined when he would propose an attack by casting lots. #Xerxes approved his scheme.
Mordecai sent word to #Esther regarding the danger. She should not expect to avoid the fate of her people. Perhaps she had been elevated to the throne for this purpose.

and yes, it is - as we say in Hebrew, אותה גברת בשינוי אדרת, 'the same lady wearing a different hat'. A different story but basically the same:
The Jews are hated, someone's life mission is to kill us, others are like 'Yeah, let's kills those Jews once and for all!'... and at the end we survive. Scarred, but we survive.
While Haman in Hebrew sounds the same המן ha-'man, and Hamas in Hebrew is a little different - kha-'mas חמאס, their main goal in life was to kill us.
And so, in the spirit of Purim, I say: GET A LIFE. Killing Jews is not it.
