A poor, disjointed performance from Lilák. Very lucky to get the win with a real comedy goal in added time. Hajrá Lilák!!!

That’s the positive start ended. Injury issues meant the clown that’s f’d up the defence for the past two seasons started. Lilák did play some good attacking football but if Horváth, for all his skills, sometimes actually passed the ball it could be so much better. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Another 4 goals and a great attacking performance, so many missed chances Lilák could have easily doubled that score. Gleofilo Vlijter with a brilliantly executed first, a Marinho Heitor debut goal header, Etienne Amenyido’s 2nd for the club and, of course, Aljosa Matko scores again (don’t want to tempt fate but how is he still here and not snapped up by a bigger club.) Hajrá Lilák!!!

A good win but a bit lucky to get away with a 4-2. Two more keeper errors conceded, first was terrible but have some sympathy for the 2nd, though he does need to be stronger when challenging in a group. VAR pantomime for Lilák equaliser was hilarious and overall a strong performance by the attacking players.Hajrá Lilák!!!

Great start to the season! New signing international keeper f’d up 3 times to give away both goals after Lilák took the lead. Flapped at a header from a corner, played a kick-out straight to the opposition & the tame shot that came in went straight through his hands! Other new signings Heitor at CB & Amenyido up front look promising, but Markgráf did play too much football near his own goal. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Didn’t see that coming! Horváth, Matko, Krajcsovics & Ljujić with the goals and starring with Fenyő & Maier in a vibrant attacking display that could have seen double figures but for the misses. Szpari’s couple of late goals were little consolation for them. Hajrá Lilák!!!

A point each for two teams struggling in the bottom half of the table. Lilák were possibly just about the better side with some nice approach play, but failings in the final third meant they never really did enough to deserve a win. Hajrá Lilák!!!

This was a great end-to-end game to watch and a good display away to the league leaders. Ultimately it was all undone by a fluke deflection though, to be fair, the Lilák opening goal also had a fair share of luck about it, Hajrá Lilák!!!

First goals for the club by both Gleofilo Vlijter & Nejc Gradisar gave Lilák a 2nd win in succession. Szélesi Zoli’s approach now seems to be that attack is the best form of defence and while the attacking line-up isn’t getting very many goals so far, it does push the opposition back instead of almost inviting them forward. Hajrá Lilák!!!

A much improved performance from Újpest and another two goals from top scorer Aljoša Matko. The freak own goal for Loki and what on replay looked a poor offside decision against Krajcsovics Ábel meant Lilák were hanging on a bit at the end. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Quite a dull match with only a couple of shots and saves for Lilák. The goal though! Yes it was a superb finish by Fameyeh but he is their main striker and was free in the middle of our box. So, who the hell were the centre backs marking? Hajrá Lilák!!!

Giorgi Beridze’s excellent finish after a nice move was a good start for the new Lilák regime. However, the failure to capitalise on a man advantage for most of the second half meant this was a disappointing result in the end. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Are the coaches reading my posts??? Last week I said “here’s a thought ,,, Matko has been by far the best player this season ... play him down the middle”
Yesterday they played him down the middle. Result was Matko scores two goals and also forces an own goal!!! Very entertaining game, partly due to terrible defending by both sides. Lilák were possibly a bit lucky to come away with all three points. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Another day. Another defeat. Same old problem, failing to track runners, biting Lilák again. General play was pretty good but here’s a thought when making a switch – Matko has been by far the best player this season so don’t take him off and move Beridze to the right, play him down the middle with Giorgi at right wing, ie just swap their positions at some stage. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Coach sacked, interim coaches make six changes to the starting line-up and concentrate on pace in attack. Result is a great win away at a team that could well win the league this season. Three assists by Horváth Krisztofer, two goals from Aljoša Matko, one by a Tajti Mátyás allowed to focus on attacking not defending and a good display by Giorgi Beridze.
Reality check: This is only one game. Hajrá Lilák!!!

The only good Lilák DM is for some reason played at right back. So, we have midfielders who won’t track back or pick up unmarked players in our box (lost count how many times there was a free opponent in front of our goal.) We have a 187cm tall CB who can’t win a header at defensive set pieces. We have a left back who plays pretty football when attacking but has no clue how to defend. Hajrá fucking Lilák!!!

Score is flattering to Lilák. After 30 mins our keeper had made 2 top saves, Loki had missed 2 open goals and hit the bar but were still 3 up! So it actually could have been 8-0 after half an hour. Two goals when already 5 down should in no way mask the shitshow that this was. Hajrá fucking Lilák!!!

After serious abuse from the fans last week and harsh words from the coach it was good to see the players show a bit of fight. However, as has been the case for a long time now, terrible defending cost Újpest points. On the positive side there were two very nicely worked goals scored. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Have missed the last two matches, probably just as well, but should have made it three. Really starting to wonder why I watch this crap. Have seen pub teams play better than Újpest did here. Hajrá fucking Lilák!!!

Pleased to see the fight and determination from Lilák after two disappointing results. Plenty of chances created with good attacking play and should have had more goals. Tučić scored his first two in NBI, first also for Medeiros plus one from Bese. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Another great finish by Matko but it wasn’t enough. Lilák played well and were possibly a bit unlucky not to get a point against one of the country’s top teams. It was an entertaining game with both sides committed to attack.

Great point away to a strong team, especially having played over half the game a man down after Lacoux’s stupid ‘tackle’ saw him sent off. There were a few good moves but mainly it was backs to the wall defending under almost relentless pressure. Lilák nearly snatched an unlikely win with Beridze’s brilliant goal in the 89th min, only to concede an equaliser with about 30 secs of added time left. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Literally 1st game of season in rebranded Fizz Liga. Lilák started with a bang, Horváth scoring a cracker on 2 min. New coach’s style is more attacking with flat back 4 & 2 alternating DM’s. 2 new signings started, Arijan Ademi was patchy, 1st game we’ll let him off. Aljoša Matko was quick & direct, a superb header for the 3rd finishing a good debut. Horváth claimed the 2nd but it was an og. Hajrá Lilák!!!

A great win to end a disappointing campaign, with signs of the new coach’s style of play. Quick short passing and movement plus three good goals (there could have been a lot more) gives us hope for next season. Hajrá Lilák!!!

An entertaining game with Szpari getting the point they needed to ensure safety from relegation. For Lilák there were a few more players tried out, some in unfamiliar positions, while the new coach continues to understand what he has inherited. Hajrá Lilák!!!

First game with the new coach and not surprisingly nothing much has changed yet. Damir Krznar has had less than a week with the squad, he is probably most interested in understanding what he has at the moment and assesing what he needs for next season. Hajrá Lilák!!!

A great game for the neutrals with five goals and two penalties. Sadly Lilák displayed the familiar qualities of poor final balls and finishing plus kamikaze defending. After this defeat head coach Bartosz Grzelak had his contract terminated and this morning Damir Krznar was confirmed to be the new head coach. Hajrá Lilák!!!

Lilák played much better football than last week going forward and took the lead with a goal from Tom Lacoux. They also almost survived some ludicrous defending but eventually conceded an equaliser, a draw being probaly a fair result. Hajrá Lilák!!!
