🪱🐉 The young woman woke up as the log started to writhe and wriggle towards Cheddar Gorge with her on it. Without realising what it was, she took out her axe and cleft the Werm in two. One half wiggled south towards Taunton and the other north towards Portishead. The villagers were safe now. Most people say the Werm is dead. But some say one half survived. Have you seen the GURT WERM? 👀

🪱🐉 She was one of those people who is prepared for all eventualities: a trug for foraged fruit, an axe for firewood, and a jug to fill with local cyder at any opportunity. Well, what she was not prepared for was the Gurt Werm. And so after a hot afternoon’s walking and berry-picking she happily had a little snooze on a huge log. As thick as a 500 year old oak, they say.
