My girlfriend’s family is #Gujarati. When we first started dating, I learned that Gujarati families have specific suffix titles for each branch of the family tree.
So instead of saying “Dev, my mother’s sister’s husband”, you’d just call him “Dev masa”. And “Pari, my father’s younger brother’s wife” is just “Pari kaki”.
In a single word, it’s instantly clear exactly who you’re talking about and damn I wish Americans had a system like that.

I don’t suppose I know anyone that speaks (reads/writes) #Gujarati? I’m learning and want to confirm that I did actually manage to figure out how to write the names of my wife and I:
Urvi -> ઊરવી
Gordon -> ગોરદન (I guess this could also be ગોડન?)
Fontenot -> ફૌનતેનો (least confident in this one)
Modh-> મોઘ -
