In 1977, Polish paleontologist Teresa Maryanska named the type species Saichania chulsanensis. The generic name originates from the Mongolian сайхан (saikhan), meaning "beautiful", referring to the pristine state of preservation of the type specimen.
In 2011, a juvenile specimen was reffered to Saichania.
In 2014 that juvenile was found to be misleading since it was given a cast skull of the holotype Saichania, and was declassified.

The answer for #Guess that #Lego #Fossil is #Trierarchuncus.
In 1980, fossils were found that were informally named as the "Hell Creek alvarezsaur" by Hutchinson and Chiappe in 1998.
In 2020 Denver Fowler and colleagues named the species and genus based on three claw phalanges from MD-I-2.
Trierarchuncus is named after Captain Hook, of Peter Pan fame, because of the distinctive large claw on its hand.
Its believed to have been an insectivore.
