Mazda 6e – cisza w cieniu Alhambry
Grenada. Miasto, które wygląda jakby ktoś rozsypał na zboczu Sierra Nevady garść piasku, a potem postanowił wyrzeźbić w nim historię świata. Nad wszystkim czuwa Alhambra – czerwona twierdza, która od wieków przypomina o czasach, gdy kultura arabska i chrześcijańska spotykały się tu nie tylko na polach bitew, ale i w sztuce, architekturze i codziennym życiu. To właśnie stąd, z Andaluzji pachnącej pomarańczami i kurzem, wyruszamy na pierwsze jazdy nową, elektryczną Mazdą 6e.
Nie jest to kolejny eksperyment z dopiskiem „EV”. Mazda 6e, produkowana w chińskiej fabryce Changan Mazda, to w pełni elektryczny hatchback, który wprowadza markę w nową epokę — i robi to z typową dla Japończyków elegancją, bez histerii i bez pośpiechu.
Pod czerwoną gliną Alhambry
Zanim jeszcze przekręciłem selektor jazdy (bo kluczyka już dawno nie ma), zdążyłem pomyśleć, że to auto jest dokładnie takie jak Grenada: nowoczesne, ale przesiąknięte historią. Stylistyka Kodo – Dusza Ruchu nie jest już tylko hasłem z katalogu. Gdy patrzysz na smukłą sylwetkę 6e w kolorze Melting Copper, miedzianym jak dachy Alhambry o zachodzie słońca, naprawdę czujesz, że projektanci chcieli opowiedzieć historię. Linia boczna przypomina muskularne coupe, a jednocześnie zachowuje funkcjonalność pięciodrzwiowego hatchbacka.
Wnętrze to inny świat – japoński minimalizm z nutą europejskiego luksusu. Testowana wersja Takumi Plus pachniała skórą Nappa w ciepłym, brązowym odcieniu, a zamszowe wstawki na drzwiach i desce rozdzielczej dodawały miękkości. Mazda mówi o filozofii ma – harmonii przestrzeni i światła – oraz kaicho, czyli łączeniu różnych faktur w jedną spójną całość. I to tu działa. Wnętrze nie jest przeładowane – raczej wyciszone, skupione. Wrażenie potęguje panoramiczny dach – w zależności od wersji dzielony (z roletami) lub w całości, jakby projektanci bali się przerywać kontakt z andaluzyjskim niebem.
Z Grenady na serpentyny
200 kilometrów. Zaczynamy w samym sercu miasta, mijając kawiarnie pełne studentów i turystów wspinających się w stronę Albaicínu. Wąskie uliczki Grenady potrafią wystraszyć nawet małe auta, a 6e ma prawie pięć metrów długości. Na szczęście układ kierowniczy i kamera 360° robią robotę — w tym aucie manewrowanie jest łatwiejsze niż w niejednym crossoverze.
Potem autostrada. Tu Mazda pokazuje inną stronę – ciszę. Dosłownie. Pomiar wewnątrz kabiny pokazał 59 dB, co w praktyce oznacza dźwięk tła gdzieś pomiędzy cichą rozmową a szumem biblioteki. Dla porównania – w spalinowym CX-80, którym jechaliśmy z lotniska, było 65 dB. Różnica może brzmieć jak nic, ale w praktyce to przepaść – tu naprawdę można rozmawiać szeptem.
Wreszcie góry. Serpentyny pod Sierra Nevadą, asfalt wijący się jak pędzel kaligrafa. I tu pojawia się magia Jinba-Ittai – jedności konia i jeźdźca. Mazda od lat mówi o tej filozofii, ale dopiero w elektryku widać, że to nie slogan. Samochód reaguje natychmiast, naturalnie, jakby odczytywał intencje. Prowadzi się… po „mazdycznemu”. Wbrew temu, co można by pomyśleć, 6e nie czuje się jak ciężki EV. Napęd na tył i rozkład masy 47:53 robią swoje. Każdy zakręt jest płynny, przewidywalny, a auto zdaje się nie tyle skręcać, co tańczyć po drodze.
Zużycie i rzeczywistość
Trasa była wymagająca – miasto, autostrada, góry. Startowaliśmy z 93% baterii i zasięgiem pokazującym 490 km. Po ponad 200 kilometrach pozostało 46%. Realny wynik? Bardzo solidne 15,5–18,6 kWh/100 km, choć przy cięższej nodze potrafi dojść do 25–26. To wciąż świetny rezultat, biorąc pod uwagę teren i fakt, że testowe tempo było dalekie od eco-drivingu.
Wersja, którą jeździliśmy, to wariant Standard z akumulatorem 68,8 kWh (LFP) i mocą 258 KM. Realny zasięg w tych warunkach to okolice 400 kilometrów – wynik bardzo dobry. Szybkie ładowanie do 165 kW pozwala doładować się od 10 do 80% w nieco ponad 20 minut.
Małe japońskie dziwactwa
Nie byłoby Mazdy bez kilku elementów, które powodują lekkie uniesienie brwi. Zacznijmy od przycisków – a raczej ich braku. Szukałem świateł awaryjnych dobrych kilka minut, zanim odkryłem, że są… nad lusterkiem. Wycieraczki? To osobny temat. Nieintuicyjny interfejs i fakt, że na moim egzemplarzu przypisano ich obsługę do programowalnych przycisków na kierownicy, sprawiły, że pierwsze krople deszczu stały się przygodą. Ale może to część „treningu uważności”, który Mazda podświadomie praktykuje?
Reszta działa jak należy. Infotainment z 14,6-calowym ekranem jest szybki, logiczny, zintegrowany z CarPlay i Android Auto, a wbudowana nawigacja wygląda jak Google Maps, choć nią nie jest. I tak, audio od Sony – pierwszy raz w historii Mazdy. Gra czysto, dynamicznie, z odrobiną japońskiej precyzji.
Fotele, które chcą cię poznać
Mazda od lat przykłada wagę do ergonomii – i w 6e to widać. Fotele są wygodne, świetnie trzymają, a ich kształt z wbudowanym zagłówkiem i „dziurą” z tyłu wygląda designersko. Brakuje jedynie wysuwanego podparcia pod udami, co w długiej trasie mogłoby się przydać. Pozycja za kierownicą jest wzorowa – naturalna, sportowa, ale nie wymuszona.
Z tyłu przestrzeni jest wystarczająco, choć przy moim wzroście 191 cm dach zaczynał lekko „dotykać”. Bagażnik 466 litrów i dodatkowy frunk (72 litry) wystarczą na rodzinny wyjazd do Andaluzji.
Kodo, Ma, Komorebi – czyli japońska poezja w metalu
Mazda nie kopiuje trendów. Nie próbuje być Teslą ani Mercedesem EQ. 6e to samochód dla tych, którzy doceniają subtelność, a nie pokaz.
Kodo – „Dusza Ruchu” – oznacza, że nawet stojący samochód ma wyglądać, jakby był w ruchu.
Ma – to przestrzeń, w której nic nie jest przypadkowe.
Kaicho – to harmonia faktur i materiałów.
Komorebi – to gra światła i cienia, jak w japońskim ogrodzie.W 6e te idee widać w każdym detalu: w refleksach miedzi na lakierze, w miękkim świetle ambientowym, w cichej pracy zawieszenia, która tłumi nierówności jak dobry haiku tłumi nadmiar słów.
Podsumowanie: spokój w erze napięcia
Elektryfikacja zwykle kojarzy się z technologicznym napięciem, z rywalizacją na waty, zasięgi i sprinty do setki. Mazda 6e proponuje coś zupełnie innego — spokój. To samochód, który nie próbuje cię zaskoczyć, tylko z tobą współpracować.
Po całym dniu jazd po Andaluzji miałem poczucie, że to auto nie tylko dobrze się prowadzi, ale też dobrze się z nim było. Jak z dobrym towarzyszem podróży, który nie przeszkadza, tylko daje przestrzeń, by patrzeć na świat.
Kiedy wracaliśmy do miasta, słońce zachodziło nad Alhambrą. Czerwone mury odbijały się w błyszczącej masce Mazdy 6e, a ja pomyślałem, że jest w tym coś symbolicznego – spotkanie dwóch kultur, dwóch epok. Dawnej Andaluzji i nowej Japonii. Ciszy kamienia i ciszy elektrycznego napędu.
I choć Alhambra trwa od setek lat, mam wrażenie, że Mazda 6e ma w sobie podobną cechę – ponadczasowy spokój.

Penultimate stop on this #cruise for us is #Grenada and we'd only planned a casual walk around anyway because of uninteresting excursions or things to see locally, plus we'd had the long trip yesterday and we've something interesting planned for tomorrow. And that was before the "feels like" temperature of 39°C. We walked slowly, we encountered a fight with one man armed with a plank with nails in it, we saw lots of fish and pretty views, we did some shopping.

End of A Dive – MV Shakem
The images below capture the final moments of our underwater odyssey through the haunting remains of the MV Shakem. This former cargo vessel was once a regular sight as it transported cement between Grenada and Trinidad. It met its fateful end, possibly due to being overloaded. Surrounded by myths of its heavily burdened hull, the Shakem ultimately surrendered to the depths of the sea.

The People’s Revolutionary Government (PRG) was proclaimed in Grenada #OTD in 1979, led by the Marxist-Leninist New Jewel Movement. This turned the country into the only communist state within the British Commonwealth. Under the PRG’s guidance, employment was greatly reduced, mothers were granted increased maternity leave, cooperatives were established, and many other measures were enacted.
