@arratoon I would not have spotted that (not being a local). Checked my medal against Google Maps of both rivers, and it is definitely closer to the Wear than the Tyne. From the other side it's not so distinctive. #GreatNorthRun #GNR

No Club Running Club pop up open 10:00-18:00hrs today Saturday and Sunday (Great North Run) only.
Today Saturday, together with Deep North Fuelled By Doughnuts Run Club and Wild Wellness, there will be a 5k run around Ouseburn commencing from BottleWorks at 14:00hrs. Free doughnuts in the pop-up space afterwards while stocks last.
GNR medalists can claim a free drink after the run on Sunday while stocks last.

I ended training week 1 with a long slow run on the Leeds Liverpool Canal, turning off slightly before Gannow Tunnel, and returning via Centenary Way and climbing up Colne Road. Starting to get busy out and about. Its Great North Run day, the starting point is pretty close to my house and there are a few hotels near where I live, that runners from outside the area will be staying in, so already seeing people heading to the race start as I came back from a swim. #GreatNorthRun
