We've been rewatching Grand Designs.
Back in the day, I probably wouldn't have paid any attention to Kevin's sweater, despite its bold striping.
But lately, since I've taken up knitting, I've noticed he's worn this one at least twice, in separate episodes.

OK, the #GrandDesigns #Australia Hempcrete House in the Huon Valley is brilliant. And goes to prove that you can build a beautiful home with a small budget, as opposed to the monstrosities that are typically built with some decadently stupid budget.

Kara has Neuromyelitis optica (NMO), if you’re interested. Her attitude was inspiring and, as I’ve been a bit down in the dumps about my legs, also something of a reminder about the power of positive thinking.

I watched #GrandDesigns last night and was moved by the courage and sunny optimism of Kara, who had suddenly lost her ability to walk because of a rare neurological condition. As someone with #MS, this felt close to home for me, but her positive attitude and the love and devotion of her amazing husband Jonny in doing the lion’s share of the work on their new accessible home was lovely to watch.

I'm background-comfort-watching some vintage #GrandDesigns and am wishing that, at least once, instead of finding the tiniest crumb of pleasantness to gush about in an otherwise awful, painfully wasteful and ugly build, Kevin had had the courage to cold-open with "Nope. This one's mad. Just completely bonkers" before angrily storming off out of frame.
