Airplane, first draft:
Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it?
Ted Striker: Good god! You can't be serious.
Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me good god!.

So, do I vote for the guy who can’t finish a sentence truthfully, or the guy who can’t finish a sentence at all?

Rando: Good god!
God: Yes?
Rando: Oh, nothing. I was just invoking your name in vain.
God: That's really annoying to be called like this for nothing. Off with you.
Rando: [Is hit by a bolt of lightning and disappears in a puff of smoke.]

I'm sorry for the English (and yes, I mean the English here), but every time I say "good god" I imagine it being uttered by an Englishman who has a monocle, a mustache, and mutton chops (as in the beard, not as in the meat).
As he says "good god", his monocle falls into a tea cup that he is holding in his right hand. The saucer is held by the left hand.
He also lives during the colonial era.
I know it is a caricature.

"Good god! This man is drunk with power!"
"You don't say!"
"Yes, I am saying!"
"But why?"
"Why what?"
"Why are you saying?"
"Because someone must say it!"
"What must someone say?"

Good golly!
Okay, look at the two expressions above. According to #LanguageTool, golly can be considered offensive. It is a euphemism for "god." How is it any more offensive than saying "Good good?"
That seems rather arbitrary. Especially since "golly" and "good golly" were words in common usage in TV shows in the US in the 1950-1960.

"House GOP’s impeachment witnesses say there's no evidence yet that Biden committed a crime"
Good god! The complete idiocy of this dog and pony show!
(Yes, I'm atheist, and I still say "good god." I like it! So sue me!)

So here I am in the middle of the afternoon with a contemplative desire whilst looking for where the last paragraph started, but alas I have yet to stumble on, to uncover, to find the long forgotten page upon which I started the last paragraph of Remembrance of Things Past.

My 83 y/o Vermont Mom just exclaimed “#GoodGod, they’re not even going to be able find Buffalo come spring. “

I know I use the expression "good god" fairly often in my writing. I don't tend to say it often, however.
