Our latest action in retaining privacy control is to stop using LanguageTool. Yes, it's open source. But to our opinion it is not clear about which data is being send to their servers, and what they do with that. Better safe then sorry! #privacy #languagetool #locaverdi

Ja Herbert, bin mit #yunohost auf meinem VServer (bei Strato) sehr zufrieden. Nutze dort #leantime #bookstack und #languagetool
Auf #umbrel bei mir Zuhause nutze ich #seafile #jellyfin und #heimdall (kommt noch mehr hinzu)
Derzeit steht bei #umbrel mein erstes Upgrade an (siehe Foto), das wird spannend für mich, ob dann noch alles läuft.😉
Weiterhin klappt nach meinem Umzug der Fernzugriff über #wireguard an der Fritz!Box nicht mehr, weil mein Provider #deutscheglasfaser da irgendwie herumzickt. Werde wohl auf den VServer einen WireGuard-Server installieren, um das Problem zu lösen. Möchte von außen gerne wieder auf meinen Umbrel-Server zugreifen können.

@ankoeln @muellertadzio Ein mglw. relevanter LLM-Skill mag das selber-Hosten auf eigener Hardware sein. Geht auch für Schönschreibtools.
Dabei helfe ich im Sinne der von Herrn Matzat geforderten "Auseinandersetzung mit der Technologie" gerne, denn mit dem Punkt [wir sollten] "zugewandt, freundlich, hilfsbereit und geduldig agieren" hat er natürlich Recht.

Definitivamente me quedé en #Zed y abandoné #VSCode . Algo que voy a extrañar es usar la extensión de #spellright que se basa en #Hunspell (propicio para mantener en continuo uso el diccionario ortográfico y detectar fallos), ahora tocará aprender a hacer extensiones para Zed y hacer una que soporte Hunspell con LSP.
Como alternativa para mantener una buena ortografía, está #ltex que usa #LanguageTool. -

Who can help!?
Has anyone who is using an M3 and/or macOS Sonoma seen this artifact before? I recognize it for the second time now. It is gone after a restart, but still.
I would like to know what that is and what causes it.
Update: Opening Displays in System Settings and changing the resolution once fixes it. Could be an OS problem?
Update: It is a #LanguageTool Desktop issue, that I was able to reproduce multiple times.

I would like #languagetool to have the ability to automatically paraphrase and correct grammar like #deeplwrite does. LanguageTool is already great, but right now it takes a bunch of clicks too many for my taste. 🤔️

Was mir noch fehlt ist eine Anbindung an #LanguageTool oder etwas Ähnliches. Emails würde ich auch gerne in emacs schreiben, aber ich bin zu alt um emacs als Mail Client zu nutzen und zu doof um die Integration in #MailMate hinzubekommen.

Today I built LibreOffice 7.5 which contains the work sponsored by #Adfinis to make use of #LanguageTool and #DeepL
With LanguageTool you can easily check the grammar and style of a text and DeepL helps to translate text.

After reading this post, I explored the options that one has as a #Firefox user, when it comes to #spellchecking and finally opted for the #LanguageTool extension.
The software itself is #FOSS and since I did not want it to send everything I write to some remote server, I set up a Docker container on a local machine with the help of this repository:
