I'm back in my garage trying to finish my painting project. I'm converting the space, which is useless as a place to park a vehicle, into a #GolfSimulator. It's a relatively low budget build and I'm hoping to get it into a state where I can hit balls by the end of next week.
But first we need some painting music...

One of the chores I hate most is painting. It's at least top 3. But I'm continuing work on my man cave, which eventually will contain my #GolfSimulator. I'm hopeful that I'll finish in the next month and get serious about reducing that 20-ish handicap. New exterior double doors will be installed next week, removing the overhead garage door, and electrical work at the end of October that includes installing an electric heater.

Played my final game in the indoor golf league this morning, scoring 3 under (net with a 13 handicap) at Pete Dye's French Lick. The golf simulators keep me somewhat sharp in the off-season, and the competition is fun. A lot of course owners have added simulators to provide them with year-round revenue, but the public club where I play has installed 6 hitting bays! Between the league and regular bookings, they are 80% utilized. Smart business decision.

Just came home after my weekly indoor golf league. Scored 9 under at Teeth Of The Dog (net with a 15 handicap). Checking my score card and rehashing the round with Casper curled up at my side and Harley at the far end of the sofa. They love my golf stories.

Just finished playing Princeville in Hawaii in an indoor golf league, at Caledon Golf Club. Shaved 7 strokes off of last week's score, on a tougher course this week - scoring 5 under par (net).
Indoor leagues are awesome for those of us with shorter golf seasons. Today it was -14°C outside but I'm nice and cozy inside while playing a virtual course. -
More great golf news. I'm currently in 1st place in a 66 person indoor golf league. Played my first round this morning on the golf simulator (net 73), and the course was Nicklaus North in B.C.
Full disclosure - I was the first player to complete this week's round, and only player so far. I'll drop like a rock in the standings as other players enter their scores throughout the week. But for now.... I'm #1... -
An update on my low cost #GolfSimulator set up in my garage. Added some outdoor curtains to help block reflection of the radar signals - suggested by Garmin to improve accuracy. Also found a cheap 32 inch TV so I can display the swing data from the Garmin app. Best feature is playing a course on the simulator a few days before I get to the course. Garmin has 40K courses on their app.
