    For the first time, Effelsberg (Germany) and APEX (Chile) telescopes observed the same wave at 3.5 mm (86 GHz) – 9637 km apart, observing Quasar 3C273!

  2. 🌌 We are pleased to announce that the APEX telescope in Chile is now fully integrated into the global mm-VLBI network (GMVA)! 🎉 Thanks to the new 3mm receiver, we were able to detect interferometric fringes between APEX and antennas worldwide 🌐, confirmed by the MPIfR #Correlator Center.
