Also the dialog between the two main characters, who are lovers, is really good. The small sprinkling of info as that journey, talking about their parents and siblings, referencing old cases, but also just exploring their feelings at their current circumstances, I love these two.

There are a lot of things I really like, and I am taking my time getting through the story.
There's a first main settlement you go to early on that has some hauntings to solve, and it's really cool that as I progress further in the story, there are follow-up quests and /new/ hauntings in that old area. You're not just leaving villages behind and forgetting all about the people there, you follow up and check in on how people are doing.
