Kids on tour
On Friday the kids started onto their first solo journey. All three kids together on a trip to Edinburgh, UK. Completely self-organised and executed … 🥹
They had their share of scotland weather on Saturday. Sunday was apparently better.
Tuesday I met up with my former boss over some after-work beers. Was a good catch-up and also confirmed the AI hype is going on everywhere. Had 4 beers I think. Then my neighbour called and asked whether we want to go jogging that evening.
The whole purpose of these running appointments for me is, that I beat my inner sloth because it’s harder to bail out of an appointment with someone else than just skipping. So of course I agreed to my neighbour. Weird enough he wasn’t on top of his game that day and we only did a short round around the Volkspark.
B’n’B
On Wednesday the infamous Bier & Burger crew met at James & June. We were lovely as always. And there was apparently a corporate event going on. Many people with name tags and business attire. Prominent hashtag on their name tags was #gerneperdu … 🤪
As that day was also our weekly poker night where I cook for the kids, I prepared sous vide veggies for them. Green beans with bread crumbs, asparagus and carrots. All tender but crunchy and self-made sauce hollandaise. I found it quite tasty, but I think the kids had different opinions.
Ribs
My friend Leo pinged me on Friday and we spontaneously decided to have ribs at Chicago Williams BBQ in Charlottenburg. It’s good and bad that this is so far out from our place now. Bad because it’s always a bit of a journey to get there. Good because otherwise I’d spent a fortune there more regularly 🙈
