Footsiepaws. I remade the sandals, the thin EVA foam I used was too weak. Plus I think I like the brown (fake) leather look better.

Thankfully I kept the template I made, so I could just remake it with better material. Faux leather glued to some kinda weird thick canvas to get some proper stiff material that works rather well. It was a challenge to punch the holes through for the rings/grommets. Tried to use a tool to punch holes into belts, but it broke so I ended up using an awl and a craft knife and just chopped away at it. :B

I sewed a scarf to the mane seam to hide it, so I can just throw this on top of any outfit and it sorta works without having to stuff it inside a collar or anything. :3

I finished some quick and dirty fursuit paws. It was hell to sew them, and even bigger hell to flip them inside out when they were done, but I managed. 🦇

I wanted to share why I'm so excited about latch hooking/wefting for my bat floof project. So, if you look at this section (15x15cm, one of eight I have to do, oof), it looks alright. Not a lot of volume. It flows downward. But... #fursuitmaking

The fur samples for my fursuit just came! I think I’m going to go with electric blue for the fur and baby blue and white for the mane. Unfortunately they’re all out of stock at the moment so I’ll have to be patient but I’m so excited!

Messing around with flexible tpu, resin cast eyes, and wepam modeling clay to reshape the base a bit and attempt to do realistic teeth/gums/lips and eyelids later on. I'm Shirra/Sylvek, an otter/bat from the Netherlands working as a software developer. Obvious furry! Male, single, 30s, his/him, bisexual, ADHD(inattentive)/SAD. Progressive/socialist, antifascist, against AI.

Very shy but snuggly.

My main interests are: drawing, writing, game (engine?) design, tech stuff, making visual novels, #fursuitmaking and sewing and stuff, general tinkering, 3d printing, cute stuff. I love making stuff that puts a smile on people's face. If that sorta thing interests you, feel free to poke me!

WIP
Following the clawed glove tutorial from rah-bop and wow did I do a poor job. Tights fabric giving me anxiety, too. A lot of work for such fragile material.

Gotta use what I have now. Will paint them, glue on claws. But wouldn't be surprised if they don't even survive the next con. I'll see and next approach has to be something more sustainable.

My god, getting this to work is such a pain. These types of masks are prone to getting dragged downwards with mouth movement.

Interestingly not the balance itself was off nor the springs too strong, but the teeth gripped each other. Thus it required more force to open the jaw, making me pull down the mask.

Teeth ripped out and fixed, this now works OK. Some padding in there and it might work well even.

I'm also uncomfortable with how fragile the plastic orbs are, scratches and stuff. I'll make her a sleep mask for transport.
