I really love the #frixion pen, because they are erasable. But they are all ugly as hell. They stopped make the metall slim, which was great.
So I created the frankenstein fountain monster.
The great #kaweco fountain pen into a #kaweco #frixion.
Great for my #x17 paper notebook.

If anyone knows G2 compatible frixion mines ... that would be great.

I am huge fan of erasable #frixion pen, but they are ugly. So now I transformed a #kaweco fountain pen into a fixion #pen. Perfect for my #x17 calendar

Do anyone know of cheaper #alternative #pens to the #FriXion for the #rocketbook?

I use 0.5 as tip, those are the ones that last the most, or at least.. that is what I saw in a video in which all tips have been tested :)

Today I've #penabled. A colleague of mine showed me a #pen the other day and she was all proud about it, it was super comfortable and the ink flowed all easy. She knows I'm a nerd about it but was still really impressed that I knew what it was.

It was a #pilot #frixion and I got to explain to her some of the benefits of gel ink. You should have seen her face when I showed her its thermal properties. Gold!

Today I gave her a new refill so her blue frixion clicker writes pink.She's penabled.

yes @freemo , I have a light #writing, and the 0.5 is perfect for me :)
I use the 0.7 with color #leads and the 0.3... very little ^^

I always preferred pencils to pens..
I guess I like the non-destructiveness, because when I don't use #pencils, I use #erasable pens XD in particular the #Frixion, they become #transparent with the raising of the #temperature ♨️

I used fountains on primary and maybe mid school.. I remember I liked them :) but only gel ones from high school up to today ^^

Had a Rain Incident last night with my #dungeon23 notebook which is making me think twice about using the #Frixion pens - they aren't waterproof. While the ink doesn't immediately dissolve, it is very smudgeable when wet. Only a few spots in this case but I am cautious.

I've now done this week's #dungeon23 in two days and am actually ahead 😲 A week ago I was two weeks behind. Combination of the OSE dungeon room generator https://oldschoolessentials.necroticgnome.com/srd/index.php/Designing_a_Dungeon#Random_Room_Stocking and tables from Knave 2e, this time, as well as building on previous levels.

Erasable #Frixion pens help when backtracking to add details to previous levels but are not essential.

Weeks 28 and 29 of my #dungeon23 - an island with the ruined house of a demon general, defeated in antiquity, with the rumour of ancient lore still hidden and some doomed researchers who went there. Also answering the question "what happens if an ooze doesn't get enough to eat?" (I said they can go dormant but they are still very hungry.)

Edit: also the #Frixion pens I'm using which come in a case which you can prop up in a handy fashion

Other observations about #Frixion pens:

- you can partially erase them, to an extent anyway, which might be interesting for art;
- the ink is waterproof to soaking, as I learned when my d23 notebook got soaked in beer in my backpack. Water plus friction will smear/remove it though.
- the cap erasers on the fineliners are bad but the ones on the rollerballs work well;
- they dry fairly quickly;
- the ink disappears at 60C so they should still be usable in Arizona for a few years.

Not super impressed with the new #Frixion pens I got in the post today. The broad one does the job but has limited uses (walls basically). The "Point" version is not very pointy, still quite broad. The fineliners are quite broad and also very pale - don't seem to put down much ink compared to the rollerballs.

When I look at them on this weeks #dungeon23 though they don't seem so bad, in good light anyway. I'll try next week and see how it ends up.

I see you can now get #Frixion fineliners https://www.pilot-frixion.uk/uk/frixion-family/frixion-fineliner/ - have just ordered some for #dungeon23 purposes. The rollerball ones I have now are useful in terms of erasability but a bit broad and need a lot of pressure. You can also get a "Frixion Point" variant which is even finer (yes, ordered one of those too).

As well as #dungeon23 they proved popular as pens for a five year old to draw with btw, both with child and parents. The highlighters were particularly well received.
