I miss cross country skiing already 🙂 Last day of the Cypress Nordic 2024-2025 Season. I was tired and happy on my skate skis. More tired than usual because i was carrying 2kg of water and coffee cups 🙂 for our summit picnic 🙂 ! I don't ski with a backpack normally.

I miss cross country skiing already 🙂 Last day of the Cypress Nordic 2024-2025 Season. I was tired and happy on my skate skis. More tired than usual because i was carrying 2kg of water and coffee cups 🙂 for our summit picnic 🙂 ! I don't ski with a backpack normally.

LOL. Apparently the organizers changed the Payak course in 2024 to make the Mountain View section less difficult but then they added 2 switchbacks which involve 2 additional hills at the very end. Anybody else go to Cypress yesterday Jan 13, '24? We did & it was cold, -18, but warmed up rapidly to about -10 & the sun came out. Not too bad if you have suitable gloves & socks & neck coverings. Conditions were medium packed; classic tracks weren't too slick. No ice, no death cookies, a few avoidable rocks & more open trails. We took Pop Fly to the Upper Warming Hut for example!
