So search engines become worse and after the github announcement, oss projects will scatter around to other git hosting providers. Is there a oss project database, where I can lookup if there is already something for my needs? That would be really helpful. If not, this would be a nice project - A human curated, searchable and tagged list of projects.

A tool like a password manager but for randomly generating an email alias, so that you can sign up for a website's mailing list with an alias, take the store's discount for signing up or whatever (or for this "Offerwall" crap Google's supposedly coming up with), then the alias expires after a day or whatever so you don't get all the spam when the website sells it.

I wonder if any noise artist has ever clipped a piezo mic to the inside of a computer and used that as an instrument. If not #freeidea but I feel like I couldn't possibly be the first to think of this
