In the Dutch system (like most European systems), charges aren't public. Trials are in court, not the court of public opinion. This protects the suspect & ensures reintegration if innocent or post-sentencing. It's up to the defense to reveal info. #FreeAlex

He's held under suspicion of money laundering, per prosecutor's statements. Today they said the investigation is nearly complete. Defense received a document with findings & charges, so his lawyer can now work on the defense in detail. #FreeAlex

Via the family: Starting next Wed, 26th, he can await trial at home if electronic monitoring is ready. He'll be able to work on his defense, something impossible while detained. Trial starts May 24th, they'll decide if he can continue from home. #FreeAlex
