I present to you the story of Hercules Posey and his owner, George Washington.
Even after "Self-emancipation" in 1797, George Washington spent the rest of his life lamenting the loss of Hercules and attempted several times to capture and re-enslave him.
This keeps coming to mind when people talk about Trump as if he was the only petty president.

I find the modern USAnian partisan hack "conservatives" kind of ridiculous. If #Washington or #Jefferson or most of the other "founding fathers" of the USA had been in the courtroom when the "originalist" / "textualist" Supreme Court justices invented their "President is immune from all criminal law" doctrine from whole cloth, they would have immediately stood up, drawn their pistol, and ended such justices then and there.
Because they would have recognized it for what it is: the re-institution of the supreme King as absolute ruler, which they had risked life and limb to abolish and establish a new government of, for, and by the People.
They wouldn't have put up with it for a second.

The "wrench" here is that T****'s lawyers are arguing the law allowing for Special Prosecutors is itself "#unconstitutional" b/c the #FoundingFathers never included it in the #Constitution.May I point out the Constitution includes the right to build roads more than 100 years before the invention of the car. Saying the DoJ can't appoint a #SpecialProsecutor b/c it's not in the Constitution" is like saying it has no authority to build Interstate Highways. 🙄
