Q: Was there a public RFP that Staples responded to? Were current Service Ontario operators, that today operate the majority of locations, allowed to bid on this business?

Q: Will Staples be paid the same transaction rate as current operators?

This is more of the same pattern of anti-democratic behaviour from Doug Ford, plowing ahead with non-solutions to the housing crisis & the climate crisis by giving mayors powers to override council decisions & encouraging urban sprawl. This, at a time when he and his government should be under investigation for the corruption exposed by the Auditor General. Don’t allow Ford & developers to turn the page on this scandal.

Substantial rain in Halifax is giving us a break on our vacation so I'm catching up on news. Ford's corrupt government is not a surprise but the greenbelt scandal is another level. I hope that the media remains focused on this story, even after he inevitably does something else corrupt or moronic. This scandal is a huge betrayal of public trust AND obvious enrichment of his cronies.
