US Charges Chinese Nationals in Myanmar Scam Compounds
The US has charged two Chinese nationals, Jiang Wen Jie and Huang Xingshang, with running forced-labor scam compounds in Myanmar that targeted Americans to the tune of at least $7.2 billion in 2025. Authorities have also seized over 503 domains used to perpetrate the fraud, dealing a significant blow to the scam operations.

Now, my question is - why does the same not apply for #China, who is also #greenwashing its occupation of #Tibet & #EastTurkistan (#Xinjiang), including using #forcedlabor in #solar & #EV #cleantech supply chains?
Some of the same groups calling out Israel @#COP26 for #Gaza are the same ones ignoring China's #humanrights crimes.

The result? Bifurcated supply chains, with ethical producers more likely to be shipping to the west & those with major sustainability concerns, like #RGE, exporting to #China (or #India).
There’s a risk that this #bifurcation of supply chains gets worse. #Europe new deforestation regulation, and coming #HRDD rules, will only increase traceability pressure on tropical supply chains. The US has been cracking down on goods made using #forcedlabor, with blocks up 38000% in five years.
