So I run Ubuntu and also do occasional graphic design stuff and having a billion Noto fonts in the font list is super annoying, so I duckduckwent and found this little script and it looks to have worked.

Nothing has cost me more time and money in the last year running our design studio than converting legacy Adobe documents to use new OTF fonts which we have to purchase to replace the now defunct Postscript we already purchased. And while I am grumbling, the state of font management on MacOS is atrocious and maddening. I've changed font managers 3 times in the last year and still have issues finding and enabling fonts.

Currently making the procrastinated switch from discontinued FontExplorer X, and I gotta say: @Typeface’s active presence on Mastodon is one reason it’s my choice for font manager replacement.
