Hmm ... need to decide whether Nidhögg is a fairly slender serpent (snake despite wings and one set of clawed limbs), and also what kind of colouring he has.
I'm thinking black, but does he have some pattern? He's venomous with long fangs, diurnal (so vertical pupils), and I think the tail ends with a sharp tail spine protruding from the last vertebra (so on the tail).
This being nordic he might have some adder features in his colouring.
