@tsyum @mwichary As a world-wandering Bostonian, it’s an endless shame that every city has a seriously better transit system than the T. Enjoying Sydney transit system this winter (summer), with coordinated train/bus/ferry routes, trains every 10 minutes or less, phone app for topping up your fare card and route/time planning, bikes welcome on subway, helpful staff on platforms & in station lobbies, great signage, working elevators & escalators everywhere. #FixTheT

(Finally getting around to posting.)
@mbta’s new GM had a first day like most Bostonians. He rode the T to get to work. He stopped to talk to reporters. He went to the office. Typical first day. #MBTA #FixTheT #Transit

Good morning, #Boston. I’d like to start out this morning with something relatable to so many Bostonians:
That horrible feeling when you need to be somewhere and you’re standing on the platform watching the time for the next Orange Line train arrival get further and further away…

#Transportation #Massachusetts #MBTA — In inauguration speech, Gov. Maura #Healey vows to #FixTheT; hire GM; safety chief in 60 days; get funding to hire 1000 more workers in first year. “Let’s face it: The state of our trains, roads and bridges today is unacceptable,” she said. “Let’s acknowledge that we can’t have a functioning economy without a functioning T.”
